Goldhouse Relationships
Relationship coaching for men and couples who want more connection, less conflict, and a stronger partnership.
You can know how to lead, perform, solve problems, and handle enormous responsibility, and still feel completely lost in your relationship.
You love this person. You just don't know how to change the pattern you're both caught in.
"This is the relationship I say I want. Am I behaving like the partner capable of creating it?"
This isn't about blame or deciding who's right. It's about seeing your own contribution to the relationship dynamic and building the capacity to create something different.
Before entering the relationship field, I spent nearly twenty years in financial technology, providing software consulting to billion-dollar hedge funds. As a former Division I baseball player, I've spent much of my life in environments that value performance, discipline, problem-solving, and results. Those qualities served me well professionally. But relationships require something more. They require us to understand ourselves, tolerate vulnerability, communicate directly, take responsibility for our impact, repair when we've caused hurt, and stay connected when our instinct may be to defend ourselves or pull away.
Those skills can be learned. And that's the work I now help people do.
Strong relationships aren't something you simply get lucky enough to have. They're something you learn how to build.
My wife and I met as students at Brown University and have now spent more of our lives together than apart.
Our marriage has included periods of incredible closeness and periods when we struggled to understand each other. I've experienced firsthand how two people who deeply love one another can still become trapped in patterns of criticism, defensiveness, anger, and withdrawal. I've also experienced what happens when those patterns change.
You may know how to lead a company, manage enormous responsibility, or perform under pressure, and still have no idea what to do when your partner says, "I don't feel close to you anymore."
I help men understand what's happening beneath their reactions and become more self-led in their relationships. Not by teaching you to placate your partner, telling you that you're the problem, or turning you into someone you're not.
When couples get stuck, it's easy to start believing the other person is the problem. I see it differently. People aren't the problem. The pattern between them is.
I help couples slow down those patterns, understand what's happening beneath them, and build new ways of navigating conflict, vulnerability, repair, and connection.
